About Me

Photo 206My name is Kyle Guntharp and I am a common (ordinary) saint. I have two extraordinary kids and one extraordinary wife. I am a service representative for a large business machine company, which, in reality means I ride around in a van, kill bugs (on the windshield), and fix things. “Things” are whatever the company decides we work on. Seeing as I have a large territory with much driving, I have a lot of time to muse, listen to sermons, sing out loud with my ipod, and seek to solve many issues that are relevant to my faith and life. I also teach a couples class at my church which I greatly enjoy

Again, I am a common saint. I have no rank or letters following my name (though there is certainly nothing wrong with that). I rejoice that my name is written in heaven. When God chooses to use me it’s just icing on the cake. By God’s grace, I am one who has struggled in many areas and seek my answers in the Scriptures, prayer, and the godly counsel of others. The godly counsel of others includes not only personal counsel, but many other resources as well: books, sermons, blogs, etc.. These, of course, are all judged and tempered by the Scriptures.

This is my first attempt at blogging, so it is a learning experience for me. There is definitely a learning curve and I greatly appreciate your patience as I “curve.” I am learning there are many joys and perils to this type of blogging. Pray that I will experience the joys and avoid the perils. The joys are doing something that edifies others and brings glory to God. The perils are trying to be simply entertaining or clever, in essence, doing something glorifying to me.

Many of my postings will be the things I personally have grappled with over my years of walking with Christ and also my present grapplings. I will also post things God is teaching me in my study of the Scriptures and my encounters with Him and others in everyday life. My hope is that this blog will enrich your walk with Christ and if you have not met Him yet, that God will use it to guide you into a relationship with Him.

My greatest desire is that God will use this blog to His glory.

Hey Kyle, it’s good to come across your site! You may remember me from Oglethorpe County. We went to school together for a while. I’m living in Washington, DC now and haven’t been back to Georgia in years. Hope all is well and it sounds like it is! If you get a chance, it’d be nice to hear from you, and if you see Robert, tell him Billy said “hi!”

    Hi Billy,

Of course I remember you! You were one of my best friends. It’s great to hear from you! I’m surprised you found my “blog.” I haven’t posted there in a long time. I mainly have it out there for my class just in case someone needs a link.

How are you doing? I hope all is well. What are you doing now?

I haven’t seen Robert or anyone we went to high school with in years. I went to our 20 year reunion in 2001. “My how we’ve changed!” Most of us had less hair and more gut.

Man, it is great hearing from you! Write me back and let me know what’s happening with you.

    Sincerely,
    Kyle

P.S. I tried to respond via email but I got a return message saying it couldn’t be delivered.

Hey Kyle! Try the different e-mail that I left. My work e-mail has a very finicky filter, for some reason. I think your blog is great, and I truly admire your faith and dedication. Yeah, send me an e-mail and let’s touch bases.
